Baptismal Date-January 19, 2009

Dear family and friends,

I don't have much time to write this week. So I will just tell you about Donnie. She is finally out of the hospital since being in there for a month and an half. We went to see her on Saturday. It was so good to finally see her again. She looks good. We just went over there to she how she was doing and how she was feeling. We asked if she had been able to read any out of the Book of Mormon but she said no. But she did say that she thought about the things we had taught her all the time while in the hospital. Then we talked about the purpose of life and why we are here. It was a very good meeting. But the best part happened at the very end. She brought up how she was going to be baptized in Dec. and wanted to know when we could reschedule that for. She now has another baptismal date for Feb. 7. Hopefully she will stay healthy enough this time to be baptized on that date so she can enjoy all the blessing that come with membership in this gospel.

Well I have to go. I know this church is true. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. And Joseph Smith is a prophet of God.

Love,
Sister Keys

The following is a note that Jeanne added into the letter to her mom.

Dear Mom,How is Steve doing with his quit smoking? Steve is doing better with his smoking. He is done to only 5 a day when before he was smoking 30 a day. Wednesday is the day he is going to stop smoking all together. Keep praying for him. I know he can do it this time for he wants to stop and the Lord is helping him. It is not to bad without chocolate. It is only hard when our dinner appointments make us chocolate and we have to tell them we can't eat it. So we try to tell people before hand no chocolate.
